2012 ORIGINAL INDUCTEE OF THE MILITARY DRILL HALL OF FAME

Mr. Constantine Wilson & New Guard America
New Guard America New Guard America, holder of 13 Guiness World Records and 11 world championship competition titles, is the world's only internationally touring professional civilian fixed bayonet rifle exhibition drill team, and has been captivating audiences across the United States as well as overseas since 1997. Widely regarded as the best in the world, New Guard America, features six rifle sequences that maintain extreme risk and difficulty and are simply breathtaking to see.

The weapons used during their performances are the M1903-03 rifle, fully weighted. These weapons were used by US military during World Wars I and II. Together with the 10" fixed steel bayonet, these weapons are a few ounces shy of 10 pounds. With decades of practical experience, in recent years, New Guard America has begun producing parts for those drillers who have graduated high school that wish to add bayonet drill to their resume.

New Guard America regularly trains at their facility in the evenings for about three hours; usually until physical exhaustion or injury, and all hold full time jobs during the day. While several members have come and gone through the years, founder Constantine H. Wilson has proven to be a driving force in drill for decades. His dedication and commitment has provided training and performance displays to countless groups over the years, often performing several times a year to multi-thousand seat arenas hosting military Tattoos across Europe and other exotic locations. His efforts often are done via the internet, giving back to the young men and women who glorify drill on all levels. In very recent years, New Guard America performed and excelled on the American television show, "America's Got Talent". While NGA did not win the overall title, their exciting brand of flashy and splashy military drill was seen by millions and helped to bring the sport to a whole new level of appeal across America!

Please take a look at this practice session the team maintained getting ready for the America's Got Talent competition in 2013. While the number of team members has fluctuated throughout the decades, the overall excellence, precision and crowd appeal has never waivered.

NGA AGT

Mr. Wilson has driven New Guard America to the pinnacle of notoriety and success as the leader in a post-high school exhibition drill movement that is just now gaining massive momentum across the United States. The World Drill Championships remain the "Super Bowl of Drill" for these men and women who wish to continue drill past their high school days. The work in some many areas of drill that has been accomplished for decades by "CHW" makes his inclusion, as well as the New Guard America team induction into the Drill Hall of Fame a perfect and very easy choice.
