Sorry for the date shift. The event is still the day immediately before the NHSDTC begins. And yes, interested schools can compete in BOTH the Army Nationals and then the NHSDTC the following two days. They may also decide to compete in the one day National JROTC Fitness Challenge Championships the following day. For logistical reasons, schools doing either of these other events along with the Army Nationals will have their rooms solidified and provided by SNI at a deep discount.
THE EXCELLENCE CONTINUES in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida! A building that is sparkling, gorgeous and fitting for a competition of this stature! USACC sponsors the Army Nationals and with the support of the Brigades across the country, this will again be the largest gathering of Army-only JROTC talent annually assembled! Every Army school AFTER BEING NOMINATED BY THEIR BRIGADE can register to attend.
SNI is working hard to acquire as many reasonable hotels and food establishments in and around the competition site. The Ocean Center Arena is located one block from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the white sands of Daytona Beach, the "Worlds Most Famous Beach". It is located just 5 miles from Daytona Beach Regional Airport and 6 miles from Interstate I-95. Orlando International Airport is only 1.5 hours away as well. The venue is amazing and stands ready to host the event. We are thrilled for the future of this event and we look forward to the best Army Nationals ever held! In the coming months, floor diagrams, photographs, parking and directions will make their way onto the site in the later Fall - stay tuned!

"What an HONOR to be asked to come in and work with a great group in the Denver Army JROTC shop to bring together many of the more prominent Western drill & ceremony units in the Western USA. We look forward to hosting this fine meet, meeting hundreds of new friends, and watching it grow to become a prominent force in the JROTC drill universe!" -Justin Gates, Sports Network International
The competition is really many competitions with something for every school looking to attend. It serves as an Army Western Championship event as well as an All-Service Championship thanks to the generous support of the U.S. Army Cadet Command. While schools can enter both Armed & Unarmed teams competiting for an overall title, schools may choose to enter just an Armed Division solo, dual or 4-person Quad Exhibition entry. Schools desiring to compete with just a color guard are encouraged to do so in the 5280 competition. Color guards of all abilities compete together in this patriotic display of color guard excellence which is completely separate from the rest of the competition.
The competition for Unarmed and Armed teams competing together in their own competition divisions within both an ARMY-ONLY and ALL-SERVICE framework. Trophies are ample and among the most unique and impressive in all of drill. The school placing highest in both Armed & Unarmed categories in either the Army or All-Service competitions will receive the towering "VFW Cup" to represent the Grand Champion of the entire competition.
Does your school have an ATHLETIC TEAM? Click the logo above for information!
Schools looking to GUARANTEE their acceptance into the event can do so by registering AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. All schools who register to attend should read through the event SOP, ask questions, but then register as soon as they are sure they are attending. However, entry spaces are limited in each division. Those waiting to register may still be accepted but other factors come into play. With the inclusion of all three of these exciting competitions, the Nationals have become the home for every drill program wishing to end their drill season doing something all of their hard working cadets will remember for the rest of their lives.
We invite your team to the rugged mountains of the Mile High state of Colorado to compete in this outstanding competition. It will be a positive experience your cadets will remember for a lifetime!
