Dates are finalized and USMC JROTC schools will be attending from across the nation! Thank you to all of the people who have pushed hard to make the Marine Corps JROTC National Drill Championships move from a dream to a reality. After many years the competition shifts location to Central Virginia in the distant shadows of both the Marine Corps JROTC Headquarters in Quantico, Virginia and the Nation's Capital, Washington, DC. The Fredericksburg Arena & Conference Center is geared up to give the competition the big stage it so richly deserves! Highlights this year will include increased academic interest from college vendors, as well as numerous static displays brought forth by several levels of the Marine Corps to better make this event a BIG SHOW! Of course, beautiful trophies and a fired up competition field will pair well with the history and significance this area fills with.

Big changes this year will include a separate ARMED and UNARMED DIVISION. Doing this will allow smaller schools to compete on a more even footing with their large school counterparts. Combined this with the hard work and financial support of the Marine Corps JROTC Headquarters in Quantico, Virginia, the top finishing teams from the various regions of USMC JROTC will be selected, then attend and compete without any required costs or payments to SNI! These units will be battling within Armed & Unarmed Inspection, Basic Drill, Exhibition Drill and Color Guard.
The Fredericksburg Arena & Conference Center is a massive indoor facility that will be the expansive home for the competition. Nestled in the home of civil war history overflowing, the facility has hosted countless military functions for years and they anxiously await the best Marine Corps JROTC drillers in the nation. Plentiful parking and wide, unobstructed concrete floor space, along with high ceilings and team areas near the competition floor will give the event a great Devil Dog vibe! We are thrilled for the future of this event and we look forward to the best MCJROTC Nationals ever held! No admission charge or parking charges are in effect to attend the Marine Corps JROTC Nationals and spectators are encouraged to attend and cheer on their units!
Marine Corps JROTC units attend only after being nominated to attend. These nominations are finalized many weeks in advance. Once nominated, schools need to immediately register to attend the event by completing the on-line registration form. They then are given a MySchool Website Page where they input cadet names, shirt sizes and other valuable information to ensure SNI is ready for the group. Teams of course can come here to the official event website to gain all of the competition information and related information they will need to attend.

Sports Network International (SNI) will be hosting this major event with complete oversight and direction from the MCJROTC HQ. The judges, venue and other needs are finalizing and the event is ready to take place. Working closely with the MCJROTC HQ and Sports Network International, nominated schools from throughout the USA will have an exceptionally satisfying, safe and stress-free competition! As of this writing, MANY details are still being worked out. Sports Network remains honored to play a part in this exciting event. We at SNI stand ready to continue to assist all instructors in making JROTC the vibrant program it has become over the decades.
Marine Corps JROTC schools motivated to attend in the future should contact their Regional Directors to learn how they can qualify to be a part of the excitement. The Marine Corps JROTC HQ applauds the motivation from those schools that muster the school and community support that are needed to compete at the highest levels such as this. They understand a trip to an event like this is both cadet building and program building. The efforts on and off the drill deck by these units should be rewarded with this USMC JROTC day of excellence!
Additionally, the top finishing ARMED and UNARMED team will earn a competition slot to officially represent the Marine Corps in the all-service drill & ceremony event, the National High School Drill Team Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida held in early May should they wish to attend.
Please encourage your parents, school administrators and others to attend and cheer on your team. Win or lose, the effort you give in preparation for your inclusion into these service championships are what these cadets will learn from and carry with them long after their JROTC days are behind them! Mostly, if there is ANYTHING our company can do to support your effort, please don't hesitate to ask!
All our BEST to the Marine Corps JROTC National Drill Championships Teams!
