DIRECTIONS, ENTRY & PARKING: Directions to the KICC facility, as well as paid parking garage information, are best found on the KICC Directions & Parking Website. Entry into the KICC facility for the Army Nationals will happen from the 4th Street entrance only. There are streets surrounding the building and buses should stage in a clockwise rotation on the street around the facility to ensure the PASSENGERS AND GEAR exit directly onto the sidewalk next to the facility and do not have to cross the street. Buses are encouraged to come to the 4th street entrance or the streets surrounding the building and drop off both cadets and gear. THE BUSES THEN DEPART AND ARE ENCOURAGED TO GO BACK TO THE HOTEL AND/OR POINT OF ORIGIN. Being a Saturday competition downtown, there are hundreds and hundreds of free parking spaces that will be vacant for cars on the streets surrounding the facility early in the morning. For those buses that wish to drop off and then stay in a area, on weekends the city of Louisville encourages buses to park free of charge on the expansive streets on 8th & 9th streets ONLY between Mohammed Ali Blvd. and Chestnut Street. This is roughly 3/4 of a mile from the KICC southwest of the facility. This local street map best shows the locations outline for buses. NEARBY FOOD OPTIONS: While restaurants come and go, I can assure you there are DOZENS of food establishments downtown in close proximity to the KICC building. Were is a KICC Area Restaurant Map that will give you an idea of both quantity and location for area eateries. We would suggest a quick Google search for a phone number of the establishment you may wish to use, thereby giving them a call to ensure in advance they will be open and they have the size and other items that meet your groups needs. INTRODUCTION: The Army Nationals are held in the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The facility is easy to find just off the interstate. The facility will have a concession stand and scores of restaurants within easy walking distance. It is an older building but it is clean and we have been welcomed by those in charge with open arms.
