WHAT ARE THE VARIOUS METHODS TO REACH PEOPLE THROUGH SNI?
Sports Network International is videly recognized as the national leader in all things involving competition military drill. SNI has become the sole provider of many on-line, print and video information and entertainment tools within the competition drill universe. SNI drill events have a fantastic demographic, with the vast majority of competitors between 14 and 22, with a roughly 50-50 split of males to females and a solid racial diversity as well. The SNI on-site drill competitions maintain a vastly higher parental following than most meets simply due to the sheer magnitude of the event produced. In fact, the U.S. Army and many others within the JROTC universe consider SNI "sole-source" in many areas of competition drill.

DrillNation WHAT IS THE DrillNATION MAGAZINE?
The annual DrillNATION Magazine is a publication produced by Sports Network International, Inc. (SNI) This magazine is mailed once a year in early September to every Junior ROTC unit as well as select non-affiliated high schools and private academies (currently, just over 3,000 programs worldwide). Currently DrillNATION maintains a 36-page format and is mail once a year. Several long-time anchor sponsors continue to ensure this publication is mailed free of charge. The purpose of the magazine is to provide information, entertainment, event entry materials, and notoriety for the schools and cadets who participate within Junior ROTC units. Specifically, the magazine focuses on the issues, information and people that involve themselves with the military drill and ceremony units that are synonymous with many of the most outstanding JROTC programs in the Nation. This includes information on drill competitions produced by Sports Network International, as well as other interesting stories and items that may relate to Junior ROTC. For a detailed answer to the why and whats of DrillNATION, please look through the DrillNATION FAQ.

WHAT ARE THE SNI DRILL COMPETITIONS?
SNI proudly serves as the official host for the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force Service Championship competitions (currently, the Marine Corps JROTC HQ does not host any form of military service chsmpionship). Of course SNI also hosts the largest single weekend military drill competition in the world, the National High School Drill Team Championships. All of these events are hosted in the Spring and each are held in different cities, largely across the South Eastern United States. The combined reach from both the teams who attend, the teams that wish to attend and like to follow along is huge. Teams general do this via the official SNI event drill websites, as well as through DrillNATION.net. These internet sites offer amazing visability for ANY goods or services looking to target the JROTC market through goods, services, educational opportunites, etc.

NHSDTC Vendors HOW CAN I BE ON-SITE FOR THE DRILL EVENTS AS AN EXHIBITOR?
We get this question a lot! First to understand, the Army, Navy and Air Force Championships are overseen by these particular service headquarters. Therefore, any on-site vendor must be approved by BOTH Sports Network AND the individual service Headquarters. This is often a formality as the groups that gravitate to these events often have great interest to the teams are are readily approved. The largest event of the group, the all-service National High School Drill Team Championships (NHSDTC), is hosted and run by SNI. This event is DESIGNED to be extremely vendor friendly and maintains over 25 universities and vendors that maintain items of interest to our attendees. To gain information about on-site attendance at the NHSDTC< please go to the Official NHSDTC Vendor Information Pages

WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL NHSDTC PROGRAM?
The official NHSDTC program is provided free of charge to attendees of the National High School Drill Team Championships (the NNHSDTC) competition held in early May in Daytona Beach, Florida. This publication maintains the competition start times for every attending school, along with competition and vendors maps and messages, and other useful event information. Because of both the data contained within the publication as well as the historical and sentimental value for the parents, it is both used tremedously during the event and then kept for many years after the event. This publication is produced by SNI specifically for the competitors and spectators of the Nationals and is distrubuted largely upon entry into the facility.

ADVERTISING WITHIN DrillNATION MAGAZINE, ON-LINE DRILL and/PR the NATIONALS EVENT PROGRAM?
As competitive drill & ceremony has exploded in growth over the years, it has become more and more apparent that interested groups would like to reach the 500,000-plus cadets, instructors, and parents that participate within this drill world. SNI is the leader in this field through both publications. Over 450,000 cadets, parents and instructors have a pass through read at DrillNATION every year. Also, the 5,000-6,000 annual attendees of the Nationals in Daytona Beach are reached extensively through the official event program. Those looking to reach these individuals have a targeted, interested audience through inclusion within either publication, as well as on-line and even on-site. Continue to the bottom of the page to see basic costs and commitments

WHO MAY ADVERTISE WITHIN DrillNATION, the NATIONALS PROGRAM, or ON-LINE WITHIN THE DRILL EVENT PAGES?
Advertising will be considered for BOTH this publication and the on-line drill universe if it is felt that those viewing these materials will benefit from an increased level of knowledge about a particular good, service or educational opportunity. Therefore, all advertising is done subject to the approval of SNI, and/or the military service headquarters. We at SNI believe the opportunitiy to expand information on a particular item to the drill community as a whole can be done very cost effectively through either the DrillNATION Magazine or The Nationals official event program, OR within their website pages. As many of the website pages have definite demographic slants, on-line advertising can be targeted to different age viewers (i.e., some pages are viewed more by the competitors (youngsters), other pages are viewed almost exclusively by the cadre or other senior leadership).

WHEN DOES THE DrillNATION MAGAZINE GO TO PRESS?
Each year, from roughly June 1st to August 30th, DrillNATION is written. Layout and production takes another week to accomplish. Generally, the deadline for advertising materials to be "in hand" is August 25th each year. However, with advertising still a very limited item, those wishing to be considered for inclusion should get their items submitted as soon as possible. Generally, the magazine is published and packaged in ealy September and put in the mail around September 20th so schools begin receiving their copies throughout the end of September after school has started across the country.

IF I WANT TO START ADVERTSING ON THE WEBSITE(S)?
As this is highly customized, we simply ask those looking for an on-line presence within the greater drill community to contact SNI either via email or simply call. Justin Gates within the office of SNI can learn about what you have to offer the attendees and can discuss multiple strategies with you to develop an effective on-line program. Monthly programs for seasonal clients (3-month minimum) are available, as well as annual plans.

WHEN DOES THE OFFICIAL EVENT PROGRAM GO TO PRESS?
All materials needed for any submissions into the official event program MUST be in the hands of SNI absolutely NO LATER THAN APRIL 20th EACH YEAR! The event program is put together with start times and other materials that are finalized roughly one week prior to the event. Immediately following this drawing, the event program masters are whisked to the printer to be produced and ready for the attendees. Again, advertising in the event program is VERY limited (even more so than within DrillNATION. Therefore, those wishing to be considered for inclusion should make their wishes known as soon as possible.

ANYTHING SPECIAL I SHOULD KNOW?
Advertising must be largely camera-ready, however SNI will do some basic design work for you at no additional charge. Non-camera ready materials may be subject to an additional charge if extensive prep work/design is required. Submissions can be in MAC or PC format (preferred), on CD or DVD, or email attached. The printer that puts together the final product is a commercial, full-service shop here in Daytona Beach, Florida and can work with virtually any format of product you can ship to SNI. For specific information regarding what format to submit, linescreen and sizes of ads, contact SNI directly.

Also, discounts are often available for those looking to cross-promote between on-site, on-line, and within any of the event publications. As this is highly customized, we also ask those looking for this type of exposure to contact SNI either via email or simply call. Justin Gates within the office of SNI can learn about what you have to offer the attendees and can discuss multiple strategies with you to develop an effective on-line program.

HOW DO I GET THE BALL ROLLING TO ADVERTISE?
