SOP UPDATE & CLARIFICATION PAGE

Below are listed the SOP updates/clarification that are in effect for the upcoming SNI HOSTED COMPETITION. Please check back weekly to ensure no changes have been made that you will be responsible for. The SOP changes/clarifications site will be finalized one week prior to the competition start date when the official event start times are posted on this website.

EVENT SOP UPDATES

1) 15 September, 2024:
Official Site is UP
SNI has posted much of the items needed for schools to begin to learn about the event and prepare for attendance. SOP, score sheets, invite and floor diagrams. Schools will be able to register to attend by 1 October.

2) 20 November, 2024:
AF JROTC Changes adhereance to DAFP 34-1203

The Learn to Lead (L2L) Guide is the manual AFJROTC wishes to utilize for their cadets involving competition drill going forward. This becomes a bit problematic as FEW AF DRILL EXPERTS have working knowledge of this manual. Frankly in practicality, the DAFP 34-1203 is still used for unarmed drill and the Army TC 3-21.5 is used for armed drill and color guard so judges will not be in the dark and SNI will be training hard to have their ready.

To be more accurate and to alert the judge to this fact, the following will be expected and best received by judge from those AF teams competing in SNI drill & ceremony competitions:

"(judges rank) - The (team name) unarmed drill team from (school name) in (city, state) is prepared for (event name). We will drill in accordance with all Air Force JROTC Drill & Ceremony Pamphlets." Some also close and ask permission, "We request permission to utilize your drill area, (judge rank))". Armed Drill Teams will addvalso after event name, "Marching And Rifle Movements Are in Accordance and all drill in accordance with..."

For Inspection: Add after event name, "Our uniforms are prepared In Accordance with AFI 36-2903 and AFJROTC Chapter 7, Operations Supplement." .
