Overnight Billeting Information
for
JROTC DRILL in San Antonio, Texas
IMPORTANT NOTE TO SCHOOLS!
The suggested entry deadline for all schools attending this event is early December. Schools are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED not to make reservations until their program has been accepted into the competition! Without question, the number of schools looking to attend this competition could EXCEED the number of available competition spaces. Because of this, quality schools will no doubt be unable to attend the event. We do not wish to have schools book hotel rooms, then be forced to cancel them. This could make it more difficult to obtain needed rooms in the future.
Schools are welcome to acquire their own hotel rooms anywhere they choose. In fact, we have listed several located at the bottom of the page that may be able to provide free ot greatly reduced sleeping arrangements. We do however recommend the hotels below as they are JROTC supporters and they welcome your business. Schools are encouraged to contact those hotels listed below who have gladly stepped to the plate to offer blocks of rooms for the drill competition. Their rates and contact information are included. All schools are encouraged to review TripAdvisor or other hotel rating sites to learn details about the property to see which maintains a level of quality vs. cost that will best work for their group. Good luck to all programs!

SAN ANTONIO BASE/ARMORY BILLETS
While I have no personal knowledge of what these units may be able to do for your team, here are places to start your journey to obtain on-base or guard armory housing:
Ft. Sam Houston Transient Lodging
(210) 357-2705
Transient Lodging on Fort Sam Houston consists of 524 rooms. The two high rise buildings (592 and 1384) are primarily used to house the Officer Basic and Officer Advanced Course Students and, space permitting, other TDY personnel coming to Fort Sam Houston. In addition, we have 27 suites located on historic Infantry Post Rd.
Lackland AFB
(210) 671-1840
Base Housing Office for the base and surrounding billets.
San Antonio National Guard Armory
4255 N. I-35, San Antonio, TX 78218
(210) 226-3424
I have been told that the National Guard Armory maintains space to sleep over with your own bedding. Facilities may be provided at a very low cost for schools looking to overnight somewhere on a tight budget. These units may be able to help, or they may know somewhere nearby that can.
