Overview:
Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas is directly between Houston (roughly 90 miles to the SOUTHEAST) and Austin (roughly 120 miles to the NORTHWEST). It is easy to get to via car, airplane or bus with major highway travel from throughout the entire state of Texas and numerous airport to choose from. Traveling by car or bus does pose several advantages, the largest likely being the transport of rifles to the camp. Attendees may fly into College Station airport (5 minutes from camp) and SNI will arrange FREE shuttle service to the campus. BEFORE BOOKING ANY TICKETS TO AIRPORTS IN HOUSTON OR AUSTIN, ENSURE THAT YOU CAN OBTAIN SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CAMP CAMPUS!

DIRECTIONS TO THE TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

This page includes driving directions from Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport, Dallas, Austin, Waco and San Antonio. Click on a facility link to the right to view the facility's location on a broad campus map.

From Houston (George Bush Intercontinental Airport):

  • North on I-45 to Conroe
  • Left (west) on Texas 105 to Navasota
  • Right (north) on Texas 6 to College Station
  • Left Exit on Business 6 [College Station/Texas A&M Univ exit]
  • Continue on Business 6 [Texas Avenue] approximately 2 1/2 miles to George Bush Drive [F.M. 2347]
  • Texas A&M University is located at the northwest corner of George Bush Drive & Texas Avenue

From Dallas:

  • South on I-35 to Waco
  • At Waco, Left (east) on Texas 6 to College Station
  • At College Station, Right (west) at University Drive [F.M. 60] exit
  • Continue on University Drive until the intersection with Business 6 [Texas Avenue]
  • Texas A&M University is located at the southwest corner of University Drive & Texas Avenue

From Waco:

  • East on Texas 6 to College Station
  • At College Station, Right (west) at University Drive [F.M. 60] exit
  • Continue on University Drive until the intersection with Business 6 [Texas Avenue]
  • Texas A&M University is located at the southwest corner of University Drive & Texas Avenue

From Austin:

  • East on U.S. 290 towards Houston
  • Exit Texas 21 and turn left
  • Near Bryan, right exit on Texas 47 [College Station/Texas A&M Univ exit]
  • Continue south on Texas 47 until you reach F.M. 60 [University Drive]
  • Left (east) on F.M. 60 past Easterwood Airport (on the right)
  • Right (south) exit on F.M. 2818
  • Continue south on F.M. 2818 until you reach George Bush Drive [F.M. 2347, first light]
  • Left (east) on George Bush Drive to Wellborn Road [F.M. 2154]
  • Texas A&M University is located on the north (left) side of George Bush Drive

From San Antonio:

  • North on I-35 to San Marcos
  • Exit Texas 21 and turn right (east)
  • Near Bryan, right exit on Texas 47 [College Station/Texas A&M Univ exit]
  • Continue south on Texas 47 until you reach F.M. 60 [University Drive]
  • Left (east) on F.M. 60 past Easterwood Airport (on the right)
  • Right (south) exit on F.M. 2818
  • Continue south on F.M. 2818 until you reach George Bush Drive [F.M. 2347, first light]
  • Left (east) on George Bush Drive to Wellborn Road [F.M. 2154]
  • Texas A&M University is located on the north (left) side of George Bush Drive

The check-in and check-out processing location will be the Saunders Corps Center directly adjacent to the Corps of Cadets facilities where the bulk of the camp takes place.

CAMPUS PARKING INFORMATION

The Nationals Drill Camp is classified as a 3rd Party Camp on the campus of Texas A&M University. It will be held primarily in and around the area of the Corps of Cadets billeting and activity areas. Vehicle parking during the camp will be handled under the regulations of the TAMU Transportation Services Department. All Nationals Drill Camp attendees or parents who are planning on driving to this Summer Camp who wish to park on campus need to purchase a Summer Camp permit OR pay to park in visitor parking garages.
