co-founder Jean K. Weil

Sports Network International remains proud to continue our association and support of the Jean K. Weil (pronounced as "while") Scholarship Foundation. This fund was established to offer graduating, college-bound seniors attending the National High School Drill Team Championships the ability to apply for and receive college scholarships. This scholarship, begun in 2000, was designed to help college-bound students defray some of the high costs of tuition, books, and other barriers to obtaining a solid higher education.

It is my hope that all eligible schools attending the Nationals will submit their best and brightest in an attempt to earn this scholarship. With nearly one thousand attending senior cadets eligible to be nominated for this scholarship by their senior Junior ROTC instructor, the few dozen that annually apply are amazing in both their accomplishments and achievements, especially at such a young age. However, competition among the best always yields two outstanding recipients. It is our hope that all schools will nominate their two finest senior cadets for this prestigious award.
